Good morning. I am just getting in all the preliminary info for the 6th grade dinner theater. All the food for the event will have a Greek theme. Reminder of time, date, etc.: Thursday night, October 28th, 6 to 8pm, at the old campus on Avon Avenue (dinner served from 6 to 6:45). Last I knew, there was a cost: 7$ per person with a 25$ per fam. max; 3$ per student/actors. special note: For this particular event, we would like help from all the parents of the class, not just the 6th grade parents (and we thank you all very much for your help) :)
NEEDS FROM PARENTS (bring in paper items to classroom any time; food items to class room day of event or straight to Avon Ave.-do not know of time for that yet):
**Cups, bowls, napkins, spoons, forks and knives (40 EACH)
**one cooler of ice
**6 gallons sweet tea
**2 gallons unsweet tea
**3 gallons water
**1 crock pot minestrone soup with ladel
**1 crock pot Greek chicken and rice (if you can do this, I'll email the recipe to you)--ladel needed
**1 crock pot of other soup of choice-ladel needed
**a few Greek and/or Caesar salads
**a few dishes of honey puffs (will email you the recipe)
**some breads (and dips for the bread) are being made and I am told that ingredients will be needed for those. I just don't know all the info yet; I'll try to get back with you on that as soon as I can.
**help with set-up, serving and clean-up
Please get back with me and let me know what you can help with. I'll keep us updated as we go along. I will also bring in some items myself. Unfortunately, I work most Thursday nights now, starting as early as 4:30, so I most likely will not be able to even go to the event this time. :( If I end up not having to work that night, I'll show up and help.
