Dear Families:
This post is
packed with a lot of information, so please read thoroughly and carefully! Words in BOLD
indicate essential details.
Plans are now
underway for the Annual Dinner Theatre hosted by our 6th-year
students from the classes of Ms. Bosso, Mrs. Lilley and Mrs. Prescott. This wonderful night of entertainment, food
and fun will be Thursday, October 27. Dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. The production will be held at First Baptist Church in Washington,
located at the corner of Harvey and Main Streets. This year, the 6th–year students
will be presenting “Immigration: Ellis
Island” after an American dinner of soups, bread and desserts.
Although
the 6th-year students are responsible for the performance, this is
an evening for our entire class to contribute and attend.
Your
help is greatly needed to make this event possible and all families are asked
to consider volunteering and contributing.
PLEASE SEE THE SIDE LISTING on the BLOG for CONTRIBUTIONS AND WAYS TO VOLUNTEER. SCROLL DOWN THE LIST OF FOOD, BEVERAGES and SUPPLIES NEEDED and POST A RESPONSE TO WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE! Thank you to those families who have already volunteered to contribute, as noted on the Side Listing.

DONATION:
We
are also asking for a monetary donation for the bread (to offset the costs of a
volunteer bread-maker).
VOLUNTEERS:
As Helen Keller
once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Aside from contributing delicious food and
necessary supplies, volunteers are also needed.
Volunteers set
up, help students serve and clean up for the event. Please sign up where you are able.
All
4th, 5th and 6th-years’ parents are asked to
volunteer.
Even though your
children may not be directly involved in the performance this year, “your time
will come” and we appreciate all who give their time to serve.
TICKETS:
Dinner theatre
tickets may be prepaid; more information on this will be available soon. A family
ticket for immediate family members (parent(s) or guardian(s) and siblings)
may be purchased for $25, or $7 per person. You also have the option of paying the same
price at the door; however, there will be faster entry for prepaid attendees.
PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN RSVP if you plan to attend by RESPONDING ON THE SIDE LISTING ON THE BLOG.
REHEARSAL:
Cast
members (6th–year students) are asked to pay $3 to cover the cost of
pizza and a beverage the afternoon of the play. More information about the cast, rehearsal
time and dress requirements will be made available soon, so please keep posted.
THANK
YOU PARENTS:
Our children
dedicate a great deal of time and energy into making this program one of great
fellowship for us, so thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best,
Margaret
