Week of October 1

Dear Families,

The week of October 1-5, we concluded our research and essays on the Timeline of Life, continuing our study of the Timeline of Early Man (I and II), and classifying living things. We also had lessons on computing fractions, measuring angles, analyzing sentences, and hearing dictation.

For the second week, the progress reports were highlighted. If your student had an abundance of highlights (incomplete work), we most likely introduced them to a time tracking system in order to help them understand where they are spending their time. Feel free to contact us if you have questions or concerns about your child's progress.

As a reminder, our Sixth (6th) Grade Annual Dinner Theatre is scheduled for Thursday evening, November 1. Our class will be presenting Orville and Wilbur Wright: First in the Air. As soon as our plans are finalized, we will update you on food, costumes, and other needs! Thank you!

Thank you to all the fathers, uncles, grandparents, family friends, and moms, aunts, etc. who attended the "Donuts with Dad" on Friday. It was a great opportunity to peek in on your child's day, allowing him/her to share his/her work with you. If you were unable to attend, please remember you may visit any time!

We are enjoying your children as well as each child's unique personality!

Amy and Darla

P.S. Please remember to check out the class blog for updated information for the month of October.
