Week of November 12

Dear Families

This week we are writing narrative stories about kindness while we are learning sequencing and finding morals, studying the first European explorers to North Carolina, learning about the external parts of animals as well as vital functions of animals, and beginning our literature circles. Later in the week, we will be sewing baby blankets as part of our Thanksgiving project for Beaufort County Hospital.

Thank you to all of you who participated in the school’s book fair this week. Tuesday, our school received a portion of sales at the Greenville Barnes and Noble when our school’s name or book fair code was mentioned. Missed Tuesday? It is not too late to participate! When you order from Barnes & Noble online this week and you give the school’s book fair code, the school will receive a portion of the money you spend.

We enjoyed meeting with many of you last week during parent-teacher conferences. If you were unable to attend, we have attached your child’s report card to today’s progress report. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress.

At school, the children are busy and happy. Thank you for sharing with us your most precious gifts.

Amy and Darla

Heads Up:
Wed, 11-21:   ½ day school—no BASC—Thanksgiving begins
